Growing up in the 1970ies and 80ies, I had the good fortune to have access to a huge collection of absolutely brilliant music. First, it was the collection of my best friend’s big brother, later I spent basically all my limited funds on vinyl.
The one thing I miss the most are the beautiful 12″ covers – the artwork, the liner notes, sometimes the printed lyrics. This was way before any Internet existed, so the covers was a goldmine of meta information. Other times, they were just enigmatic works of art to be experienced and enjoyed. Below are a collection of album covers I’ve recreated as best I could using various tools.
