An epic cover for a great album. Jeff Lynne apparently wrote all the tracks during a three-and-a-half week period somewhere in the Swiss alps. Still sounds great.

The original illustration was made by Japanese illustrator Shusei Nagaoka and it contains so many details. This version is somewhat simplified.
Album design is by Kosh who has a LOT of other great cover designs in their portfolio.
Created using Affinity Designer on iPad and all vectors, except for the starfield backdrop where I got tired and put in a stock photo.
Below is the full version, including the backside as seen when this double album is folded out. A weird detail to note is that the astronauts on the outside left seem totally out of scale, esp. in relationship to the supply shuttle at the loading dock.

Just for fun, I made a 4K version as well.
